The Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Center for Public Health Readiness and Communication at Drexel University are offering a free risk, crisis, and emergency communication workshop conducted by Dr. Vincent Covello, an internationally recognized expert in risk, crisis, and emergency communication. The workshop is designed for public health, health care and all communications professionals who might deal with emergencies.

Sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and organized by the Center for Public Health Readiness and Communication at Drexel University, this workshop is designed to prepare participants to communicate effectively in high-concern public health situations.

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Craft and deliver messages responsive to audience concerns during public health emergencies
  • Describe communication strategies to enhance believability, trust, and credibility in high concern public health situations
  • Describe ways to communicate information proactively about high concern public health issues
