DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This is the Public Information Officer position in the PA Department of Health’s Communications Office. This role connects the Department to the public regarding major, fast-developing issues affecting the health of Pennsylvanians.

WORK SCHEDULE:
8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Monday – Friday
Lunch Period: 1 hour

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Three years of experience in preparing public relations promotion through all media; and a bachelor’s degree with major course work in journalism, communications, English, or a related field; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

***Public relations experience in crisis communications or emergency management preferred.***
