Our Joint Winter Social with IABC, PPRS, and PRSA will change it up with fun and games at The Coliseum Entertainment Megaplex!
The holiday cheer begins at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the Coliseum on 410 St. Johns Road in Camp Hill.
The evening will also furnish plenty of time for networking, along with delicious food and drinks from the popular What If Catering West.
The menu will include lighter fare, with crab dip and bruschetta, and a dessert medley that includes turtle brownies, tiramisu, chocolate decadence cake, caramel cream puffs, coffee and tea.
Tickets are $30 and will include a beverage ticket and game tokens.
In the spirit of holiday giving, the Social Committee has also adopted a good cause for the event.
The Interfaith Shelter for Homeless Families is the only shelter in Dauphin County to house entire families instead of segmenting families by gender. Many residents come from abusive situations and leave with only the clothes on their back and their children.
While we would have loved to adopt a particular family in need, some families stay at the shelter for only brief stays or arrive unexpectedly, making that goal virtually impossible.
After touring the Interfaith Shelter, located in suburban Harrisburg, we discovered that their main needs are:
- paper towels
- toilet paper
- size 5 diapers
- paper plates
- paper cups
- paper bowls
- plastic utensils
- gift cards for food
- air mattresses with pumps
- pajamas for children and adults
- children’s books, and
- new or gently used pots and pans.
If you can bring an item for a needy family, it would be deeply appreciated.
We are also looking for sponsors to help defray some of the costs of this holiday gathering. Would your organization be interested?
- Sponsors for $150 receive one free event ticket ($30 value) along with recognition on promotions and at the event.
- Sponsors for $200 or more receive two free event tickets ($60 value) along with recognition on promotions and at the event.
