Gift of Life Donor Program, serving eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware, is responsible for recovering and distributing organs and tissues used in life-saving and life-enhancing transplants.
These are excellent opportunities (Fall 2018 semester; part time 20 hours weekly) for college students majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or a related field to support the Program’s ongoing communications, educational programs, and special events. These efforts are designed to increase public awareness of and commitment to organ and tissue donation and transplantation in the general public and multi-cultural audiences.
You will coordinate and attend special events such as baseball games, street fairs, health fairs and community events; help maintain database and community/media contact lists; restock public education materials as needed.
We are seeking college students in their Junior or Senior year with excellent writing and interpersonal communications skills; ability to work with a diverse group of volunteers; experience in working in a professional office environment; ability to lift 30 lbs. and set up displays and tables as required; ability to travel and work throughout the Gift of Life service area for special events/projects; ability to work evenings and weekends as required; valid driver’s license and automobile required; public speaking and community outreach experience preferred; knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint required; ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
