Central PA PRSA and Penn State Harrisburg’s public relations students will co-host an educational and networking event on Tue., Jan. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gallery Lounge (Room W107) in the school’s Olmsted Building. (Campus map: https://harrisburg.psu.edu/map)
Guest speaker Kathleen McGraw, Director of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts (HE&R), will talk about the importance of effectively leveraging corporate social responsibility and community relations to build your brand, attract talent and connect with key stakeholders.
Light refreshments will be served.
The cost is
$25 for PRSA members
$30 for non-members.
Students may attend for FREE.

At HE&R, McGraw manages corporate philanthropy, community relations, internal and executive communications, and often serves as company spokesperson. In addition, she oversees press outreach and social media for the Hershey Jobs brand, as well as Resorts, Spas and Dining divisions of the organization. Kathleen is a member of the company’s Inclusion & Diversity Council, Women in Leadership group and Milton Hershey School-HE&R Partnership Committee.
Prior to joining HE&R, Kathleen spent nearly 14 years in New York City working for global public relations agencies including Burson-Marsteller, Edelman, Ketchum and Golin. Her clients included Bank of America, Celebrity Cruises, United Way of New York City, HSBC, and Barilla. She also worked for IBM managing media relations for two of its server brands.
A steward of the community, Kathleen sits on the board of directors for Pennsylvania Family Support Alliance and the advisory board and gala planning committee at Vista School. She previously served on the board of directors at American Red Cross and chaired the organization’s biomed committee. Kathleen is very involved with Milton Hershey School, serving on the advisory board of the Career and Technical Education program, is a mentor with the Hershey Project Pathways initiative, and an active member of Project Fellowship which connects employees with students for guidance, fun and mentorship.
A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Kathleen earned a degree in English with a minor in Spanish. She also studied literature at Cambridge University.
