You’ve heard about podcasting. You probably listen to them regularly – or know someone who does. How do you create one? How do you finesse one? What do you need to know to embark or to improve? What about monetizing one? And hosting? If you like details, tune in to this virtual panel on podcasting with an impressive slate of panelists, including the managing director of Pantsuit Politics, highlighted in the New York Times, a national podcast polling expert, and a professional voiceover performer and podcast producer.

Melissa Kiesche, Senior Vice President, Edison ResearchMelissa Kiesche, Senior Vice President, Edison Research
Melissa Kiesche is a go-to for Edison’s most logistically challenging projects and has been a lead on growing both the consumer exit polling and podcasting business. She is currently at work expanding Edison’s podcast tracking study, the Podcast Consumer Quarterly Tracking Report. It’s a first-of-its-kind research product designed to serve the ongoing needs of leading podcast networks, agencies, and consultancies. She has presented on podcasting at both WNYC’s Werk It, IAB Podcast Upfront and ShePodcasts Live. Melissa is also a key senior member of the Edison election team – Edison provides all the election exit polling and county vote collection for the National Election Pool (ABC, CBS, CNN and NBC). Melissa is a graduate of Syracuse University with degrees in Television, Radio and Film from the Newhouse School of Public Communications and Policy Studies from the Maxwell School of Citizenship.

Alise Napp is the Managing Director of the popular podcast, Pantsuit Politics, which means she does a little of everything to keep the show and its surrounding community running smoothly. Before joining the podcasting industry full-time, Alise worked for over a decade in higher education, including time in university marketing, as Humanities faculty, and working with institutions to develop and implement their strategic plans. She lives in North Carolina with her husband, Kevin, where she enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling in her free time.

Michael McNutt is a jack-of-all trades — voice over performer, podcaster, producer, and event planner. He’s currently the Director of Events and Education for WEDI, a healthcare IT association headquartered in Washington DC. Michael has been a podcast host and producer for nearly a decade and currently serves as the producer of WEDI’s weekly podcast “The Collective Voice of Health IT”, which features notable healthcare thought leaders discussing relevant and topical issues that affects the industry. Michael earned his BA in Communication and M.A.I.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies/ Distance Education from George Mason University. In his off time, Michael spends a majority of his time as a basketball coach for his two young sons, 12 and 10.

Leslie AmorosLeslie Amorós, APR, Vice President and Senior Consultant, Imprado
After consulting independently at Amorós Communications for five years, Leslie joined Imprado, the managerial consulting group of DynaVet Solutions, LLC, a Veterans Administration-verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that helps clients maximize their technology investments, strengthen and streamline their organization and meet their mission. Amorós has provided strategic direction for initiatives ranging from $5M statewide multimedia voter education campaigns to comprehensive donor relations programs.  She directed communications for two state agencies (the Pennsylvania Departments of Insurance and State, where she supported 29 professional licensing boards), the YWCA of York and the Allied Arts Fund. Other career highlights include serving as public relations manager for Capital Blue Cross and as a writer/editor for Penn State’s Institute for the Study of Adult Literacy.

In addition to co-hosting All Things SR, a weekly fan podcast highlighting the work of New York Times and international best-selling author Sylvain Reynard, Amorós serves as past president and Membership Committee lead of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and is a member of the Pennsylvania Public Relations Society.  She also serves as a board member and communications chair of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and is a founding board member of Sing for the Moment Choir, Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter. Leslie holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising from The Pennsylvania State University, with a minor in Classical Studies. She also studied at The Athens Centre in Athens, Greece.
