As public relations professionals, we have an obligation to faithfully serve both our clients and the public interest – a challenging task at times for sure. With use of the phrase “fake news” now commonplace, and trust in government and institutions continuing to decline, it is more vital than ever that we fulfill our role as ethical counselors for the organizations we serve.
