Amy joined the PRSA Central PA chapter in 2020 and became a director on its board of directors in 2021. She also helps with the awards committee.
Amy attended her first PRSA Central PA chapter event in 2018 after hearing about the Keystone Awards and deciding that attending the awards ceremony was a great way to learn about what her peers were doing and draw inspiration for her own projects. Dazzled by the presentations she saw, Amy left determined to submit an entry the following year, and in 2019 her entry for her company’s newsletter won a Silver Keystone Award.
Amy has also been an active member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), a community of marketing and business development professionals in the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) industry, for 10 years. She sat on the board of directors as treasurer for consecutive terms and was the recipient of the Central Pennsylvania chapter’s Horizon Award in 2013. Amy earned the Certified Professional Services Marketer certification in 2012.
She has performed a variety of roles in the AEC industry, including marketing, business development, internal communications, and public relations. Her favorite projects include planning ribbon cuttings and open houses, writing company newsletters and magazine articles, and coming up with clever social media content.
Outside of work, Amy logs running miles with the Harrisburg River Runners, travels, and enjoys time with her husband, son, and two Labrador retrievers.
